The opportunity:

As a Product Analyst, you will support a team that is charged with a product line contribution as a business unit. This extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products for the company. You will be part of the team that builds products from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time in the market to understand their problems, and find innovative solutions for the broader market.


You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will work with a product manager to define product release requirements. You will work with marketing communications to help define the go-to-market strategy, helping them position products, and gather feedback from clients. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, occasionally working with the sales channel and key customers.

What you will do:

  • Support the product strategy and roadmap by
    • Gathering and documenting product requirements based on the business case defined by the product manager
    • Grooming the backlog to ensure requirements are accurately prioritized to support the engineering team
  • Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.
    • Assist the product manager in defining and documenting a business model canvas
    • Track market trends to help evolve the product strategy, attending conferences, research online, research with customers and leverage analyst partners (Gartner, InfoTrends)
    • Research the competition and marketplace to identify areas for product opportunity
    • Manage the “Voice of the customer” sessions with client relations and the sales team to assist the product manager with executing on the “Voice of the customer” framework
    • Capture “Voice of the customer” feedback and tracks it against the business case and product requirements to ensure that both are constantly aligned with the state of the market
  • Support a solution set across project teams (agile development)
    • Track project status against overall BCA to ensure the project remains in alignment
    • Attend agile lifecycle meetings to clarify the vision and requirements
    • Revise requirements in the backlog to clarify meaning based on project team feedback
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.
    • Support the execution of client events
    • Support the development of sales collateral with internal partners and external ad agencies
    • Support the roll out of internal education sessions on your products
  • Prepare stunning decks that convey information in a precise, professional and visually appealing manner
    • Use graphic design tools to create presentations and marketing collateral that creates a lasting impression on both internal and external consumers of content
    • Write presentation ready content that succinctly conveys ideas
    • Prepare content with minimal supervision

What you need to have to succeed:

  • Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience as a Product Analyst or BSA or other equivalent position
    • Assisted with bringing a product to market that has increased revenue and improved client satisfaction
    • While bringing this product to market you leverage a product development methodology
  • 2 years of experience in a job in the technology field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • At ease with documenting requirements and presentation material
    • Strong presentation skills with the ability to present to both internal stakeholders and external customers
  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred)
  • Technical background, with experience in enterprise applications
    • Successfully researched a technology topic and add value during architecture discussions from a product perspective
  • Excellent teamwork skills
    • Attend many of the agile methodology project meetings, making a contribution when clarifying product requirements and you can quickly resolve discrepancies when supporting the engineering process
